The Police Dispatcher serves as aSecurity and Communication Officer. Responsibilities include:
Reviewof applications will begin on October 22, 2020 and continue until theposition is filled. Applicationsreceived by this date will receive priority consideration. QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma/GED required. Must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S.citizen. Must not have conviction,guilty plea, or 'no contest' plea to any felony charge or violation of anyfederal or state laws or city ordinances relating to force, violence, theft,dishonesty, gambling, liquor, or controlled substances. Must not have beenreleased or discharged under other than honorable or medical discharge from theU. S. Armed Forces. Must be able to pass a (pre-offer) physical andpsychological examination. Must have good moral character as determined by athorough investigation conducted by the University Police. Must be eligible forNCIC certification. Must possess excellent verbal and written communicationskills and be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously under stressfulconditions. A valid driver's license is required.
