The Public Safety Officer provides for the general safety and security of the UC Irvine and UC Irvine Health population, physical property, and assets as prescribed by state law, regulatory compliance, and departmental procedures and guidelines. Under the direction of UC Irvine Police Department, the Public Safety Officer assists in the monitoring, observation, and reporting of public safety conditions.
