Job Summary The Police Officer is a sworn officer responsible for law enforcement, security, loss prevention, and customer service. The officer provides a visible presence to deter hospital threats. Duties include maintaining law and order on hospital grounds. Officers patrol and protect buildings and check for unauthorized patient movement, security breaches, and unsafe conditions. They conduct investigations, make arrests, testify in court, and enforce traffic and parking rules. Officers also monitor patient and visitor activities. They assist nursing staff with combative patients and perform searches for unauthorized patient absences.
