The University of Maryland, Baltimore County is recruiting for open University Police Officer II positions. Duties include enforcement of local, state and federal laws.

Police officers are provided uniforms in addition to a clothing and equipment allowance. Shift differential is available for evening and midnight shifts. You also have the potential to earn a stipend (on top of your base salary) for being radar or patrol rifle certified.
The University of Maryland, Baltimore County is recruiting for open Police Officer II (Certified) positions. Specific duties and responsibilities include:
Enforcement of local, state and federal laws
Patrol academic and residential areas on foot, bicycle and Segway
Provide safety escorts
Prepare reports and conduct investigations
Traffic enforcement
Testify in court
Other duties as assigned
Required Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Successful completion of a MPCTC Minimum Standard Entrance Level Police Course (that includes firearms certification).
Current police certification as a Maryland police officer (if certified in another state, must take compliance course and field training upon hire)
Class C driver's license valid in the State of Maryland
Ability to work overtime and shift work is required
Preferred Qualifications:

Salary:
Pay Range 12 (minimum: $51,069 maximum: $84,257) based on the University System of Maryland (USM) Pay Program. The salary of the finalist(s) will be based on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) – Sworn Police Officers Bargaining Unit FOP Lodge #129. Minimum FOP MOU Salary: $73,426.
Salary increases upon completion of probation and UPO III eligibility.
