 This position is responsible for leading and coordinating the development and implementation of projects, programs, best practices, and policies related to the area of vehicle programs including the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS).&#xa0; This position is responsible for serving as the staff liaison to subcommittees and working groups; conducting research, preparing analysis, and writing reports in support of assigned projects and programs.&#xa0; 
 Additionally, this position is responsible for the development, coordination, monitoring, and disseminating of information in vehicle related matters and for initiating, maintaining, and cultivating stakeholder relationships. 
 &#xa0; Essential Duties and Responsibilities: &#xa0; 
 
 Manage projects and collaborate with jurisdictional members, stakeholders, and federal partners. Provide support, advice, and direction to subcommittees, working groups, and other teams or individuals as required and assigned. (45%) 
 Coordinate and conduct conferences, workshops, and meetings, either in a virtual or in-person format, related to assigned projects and assignments. (15%) 
 Conduct research and analysis about vehicle related topics for assigned projects and inquiries. Provide timely responses as appropriate. (15%) 
 Serve as a subject matter expert, providing information and guidance for NMVTIS State Program Subcommittee activities and assisting with other NMVTIS related tasks. Participate in on-going resolution of issues related to NMVTIS state business rules. (15%) 
 Manage vehicle program areas within the AAMVA website: review, revise, and update as required and assigned. (5%) 
 Perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to: (5%)
 
 Provide input into AAMVA&#8217;s strategic plan; 
 Assist in defining program and division goals and establishing priorities to ensure division objectives and deadlines are met; 
 Assist in the preparation of any federal grants and contracts related to the vehicle area; 
 Assist in reviewing and commenting on proposed federal legislation and rules; and 
 Provide input into the division&#8217;s annual budget

Additional duties to include:   Conduct timely and expedited violence risk assessments and provide opinions on violence risk. Carries out the agreed-upon consulting assignment in a professional manner. Collaborate with University community members to provide and connect individuals to community resources. Investigates harm, damage or threats of potential harm, or damage to persons or property by interviewing witnesses and conducting visual or audio surveillance or searches; detects and collects evidence; travels to other jurisdictions to investigate crimes that occurred on university property as necessary; filing of subpoena, search warrant, or arrests warrant.  Arrest&#39;s violators or suspects by using minimum force. Completing law enforcement police reports and other appropriate documentation. Complete voluntary or legal searches to ensure public safety. Issue law enforcement specific safety interventions to include, but not limited to harassment warning or criminal trespass warning.  Assure compliance with threat assessment and law enforcement professional ethical standards.  Compliance to rules, regulations, and privacy requirements relating to FERPA, HIPAA, CLERY, and Law Enforcement sensitive records.  Associates degree in criminal justice or related field from an accredited university or college or a bachelor&#8217;s degree in any field from an accredited university or college (New hires must provide copies of diploma and transcripts.). 
 Must be able to obtain Special State Police Officer (SSPO) certification as required under MA General Law Chpt 22C section 63. 
 Must have graduated from a Massachusetts full time police academy (either the MPTC &#8216;s or the state&#8217;s SSPO), or possess the following two requirements:
 
 Completed the MPTC&#8217;s part time reserve academy, and 
 Obtained at least 6 months experience as a police officer
