								<description>Delaware, Ohio,  Incumbent is responsible for general administration, operations, planning, supervision, and creation / implementation of programs, policies and procedures for the Delaware County Jail.&#xa0; Incumbent directs subordinates, conducts grievance and / or disciplinary investigations and resolves issues for both staff and inmates, reviews incident reports, approves disciplinary reports, and compiles activity and statistical reports. The incumbent is an unclassified employee who possesses all the required knowledge, skills and physical abilities fundamental to the positions he or she may supervise. The incumbent reports directly to the Chief Deputy, Corrections &#38; Court Services. Completion of a secondary education or equivalent plus a Certificate for Corrections and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in corrections or law enforcement which include three years in a supervisory or managerial role. Bachelor&#8217;s Degree highly preferred. Must have a valid driver&#8217;s license, an acceptable driving record and no criminal record.&#xa0; 
 Work consists of complex, varied, and non-standardized tasks requiring application of numerous laws, rules, regulations, standards and procedures.&#xa0; Incumbent is required to direct highly complex activities that are broad in scope with a number of major program responsibilities.</description>

								<description>Oxford, Ohio,  Job Summary: 
 
 Oversees the work of the parking and transportation services auxiliary. Supervises, coaches, and counsels staff. Completes formal written performance evaluations, and directs day-to-day work and assignments; Authority to recommend hiring and termination; provide disciplinary actions such as oral and written warnings, or to effectively recommend the same; recommends starting salaries, merit increases, or other salary actions. 
 
 
 
 Duties/Physical Demands: 
 
 Develops and implements strategies for the allocation of parking resources among competing demands; develops and implements annual budget for parking and transportation services auxiliary. Consults with stakeholders to develop plans for parking and traffic management for special events. Oversees transportation and transit activities covered under the contract with the Butler County Regional Transit Authority. Provides support for the administration of computer-aided dispatch/records management system (CAD/RMS) databases by creating ad hoc reports and data standards. Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews the work plan for assigned staff; assigns work activities; reviews procedures of assigned staff to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations; and to ensure safe work practices, quality, and accuracy. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Minimum Qualifications: 
 
 Bachelor&#39;s degree and +8 years of experience required. OPTA certification required within 6 months of hire. Must be able to problem-solve in highly varied and unpredictable situations using new and creative situations when required. High level of independence exists in this position utilizing prior precedents and with the supervisor providing broad guidelines and overall direction. Act as the final authority when policy decision-making.
