The incumbent is an unclassified employee who possesses all the required knowledge, skills and physical abilities fundamental to the positions he or she may supervise. The incumbent reports directly to the Chief Deputy, Corrections & Court Services. Completion of a secondary education or equivalent plus a Certificate for Corrections and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in corrections or law enforcement which include three years in a supervisory or managerial role. Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license, an acceptable driving record and no criminal record.  Work consists of complex, varied, and non-standardized tasks requiring application of numerous laws, rules, regulations, standards and procedures.  Incumbent is required to direct highly complex activities that are broad in scope with a number of major program responsibilities.
