Position Summary Applicants must have passed or be able to pass the pre-enrollment requirements for the MCOLES Basic Training Academy (Reading and Writing Test, Pre-Enrollment Physical Fitness Test). This position is for applicants interested in going to the Police Academy to become sworn law enforcement officer. Under direct supervision, Police Recruits participate in an academy program that provides instruction in criminal law, patrol procedures, community policing, defensive tactics, and other essential skills required for police work.
