PART-TIME UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA POLICE OFFICERSThe University of Minnesota Police Department (UMPD) is hiring police officers to work part-time to provide police services at Gopher football games and other large scale special events. The game-day operations are based out of a Command Center in the Huntington Bank Stadium staffed by a UMPD command staff designee and dispatcher as well as athletics, facilities, and emergency management personnel. While working at the Huntington Bank Stadium, officers from other jurisdictions will be under the command of the UMPD. Officers from other jurisdictions are licensed as University of Minnesota peace officers via the P.O.S.T. Boardâ™s âœsecondary❠licensing option.Officers are provided UMPD uniform shirts, a turtleneck, a jacket
