The Patrol Lieutenant commands a platoon within the Bureau of Patrol Operations; and plan, implement and direct programs designed to achieve the goals and objectives of the Patrol Bureau. The Lieutenant's work involves high-level, strategic and daily supervision and/or management of a unit or division of commissioned police officers and licensed security guards. The Lieutenant manages the departmentâ™s responses to routine calls, emergencies, and other law enforcement services provided to the University.
