The successful candidate will typically possess five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience performing a wide variety of duties related to administrative and managerial duties in a large, protective services agency including two (2) years in a senior level administrative or management position. Candidates must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid California Driver’s License as well as an Advanced Certificate in law enforcement issued by the State of California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training with one year of appointment.
The annual salary range for the Assistant Sheriff of Corrections position is $199,451 to $249,350; placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and experience.
