The Lead Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for end-to-end IT support of the Police Department, physical security, and oversight of Critical Infrastructure systems for USNH. This position is also an active member of the Cybersecurity team performing daily operations and other duties as required. This includes but is not limited to support for day-to-day project management, camera, desktop, and server support for a broad suite of systems and applications in compliance with CJIS and the associated internal policies and standards. Works with all business units to assess risk and address security issues for the University System of New Hampshire institution.
BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Forensics, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or other related fields
10 years experience supporting police departments and managing physical security systems including security cameras and access control systems
5 years experience using Active Directory management tools including domain/user management and group policy tools
Strong working knowledge of CJIS policy and related compliance practices
Demonstrated understanding of IT/OT systems, including SCADA systems and protocols
Strong working knowledge of managing end to end support on enterprise applications, servers, desktop, cameras, IoT, and mobile devices for both PC and Macs
Demonstrated experience in lifecycle management and budgeting for organizational infrastructure, endpoints, and equipment
Demonstrated level of organizational skills necessary to support business and process analysis, project planning and definition, and process implementation in moderate to complex environments.
Experience coordinating with all levels of leadership and technical counterparts including peers
Demonstrated ability to present complex technical issues to non-technical audiences
Empowered and accountable to meet or exceed the established customer service standards
Passion for IT and eagerness to stay current with changing technology and practices.
Demonstrated ability to develop and produce metrics and data to show service quality and performance.
