Carnegie Mellon University's Police Department is searching for a Manager of Accreditation and Professional Standards. This is a dynamic opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing critical support in oversight and management of the PowerDMS system and the department's accreditation program. This position will manage data collection, analysis, and reporting of all law enforcement information systems relative to CLERY, Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR), department performance, crime statistics, performance-oriented statistics, and crime mapping.
Core responsibilities will include:
Manages the department's Clery Act (CLERY) reporting. Responsible for department's CLERY statistics, reporting, and daily crime log using law enforcement systems, including ARMS software.
Manages the department's Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission (PLEAC) accreditation program. Responsible for managing the PowerDMS program for accreditation, directive review, creating training curriculum, tracking certificates and course completions for department personnel.
Responsible for all grant research, preparation, submission, and reporting.
Manages the University Police Department's web site utilizing university's continuous improvement management system (CIMS) program.
Responsible for ensuring proper access to CMU properties, computing systems, and programs for University Police Department personnel.
Responsible for monthly and annual reporting on department performance, crime statistics, performance-oriented statistics, and crime mapping using law enforcement systems using ARMS and PowerDMS platforms.
Responsible for the department's four business continuity plans, utilizing CMU's Fusion Framework system
Responsible for Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR).
Responsible for issuance of crime and safety alerts to the university community.
Responsible for policy revisions and preparation, as directed by the Chief of Police (COP).
Responsible for preparation and dissemination of threat assessment reports.
Responsible for oversight of the records management system (RMS).
Responsible for creating monthly, annual, and special reports for the Chief of Police relative to: statistics, training, staffing, efficiency, crime trends, succession planning, and strategic planning.
Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree Required
3-5 years' experience as an accreditation manager at an accredited law enforcement agency required; minimum of 10 years of sworn law enforcement experience preferred
