This position is responsible for overseeing employee recruiting and selection processes; coordinating employee orientation and separation activities; and maintaining employee files. Also organizes the department's student worker/volunteer/intern program. Serves as the liaison to the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center and UNL's Human Resources department.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, public administration or a related field of study plus two years of experience conducting employee selection processes required; equivalent education/experience considered. Experience must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software is essential. Knowledge of Civil Rights laws (Title VII), Affirmative Action executive orders, Privacy Act, EEOC, ADA and other relevant laws, regulations and acts affecting employment and employment decisions is necessary.
Experience designing, implementing, and administering employee selection processes. Strong knowledge of all UNL HR software, policies and procedures, and Board of Regents By-laws and policies, federal and state laws and other rules & regulations affecting human resources. Ability to coordinate the activities of student workers, interns, and volunteers. Strong problem solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills. PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
