This 50% position is a shared position between the UCIPD Administrative Services Unit (40%) and the Emergency Services Unit (60%) reporting to the Director of Emergency ManagementUnder the general supervision of the Director of Emergency Management, the Training Coordinator (Coordinator) coordinates Zone Crew and Campus Search and Rescue Training to support the emergency management training and exercise program for UC Irvine. The position is responsible for coordinating training and exercise opportunities for the Zone Crew Building Evacuation program and the Campus Search and Rescue (CSAR) program. Working with the Clery Act Compliance Coordinator, the Training Coordinator will assist with all aspects of the Campus Security Authority (CSA) training and reporting program to support UCI Clery Act compliance. Other Clery Act related projects will be assigned as needed. This position has been identified as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) and as a CSA, persons in this role are required to report crimes, incidents, and disciplinary referral statistics as required by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (20 USC § 1092(f)).This position is considered a 'mandatory reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA), Penal Code §§ 11164-11174.3 and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in University of California Policy CANRA.The University of California, Irvine is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer advancing inclusive excellence.
