Interested applicants are invited to apply as on-demand instructors for the Ohio University-Chillicothe Southern Ohio Police Training Institute.
Experienced instructors are anticipated to offer training for courses such as: Criminal Law, Patrol Procedures, Cultural Diversity, Investigative Procedures, Report Writing, Defensive Tactics, Firearms, Leadership, Ethics, Community Policing, Police Vehicle Operations, Traffic Enforcement, Accident Investigation, Handling Emotional Situations and First Aid/CPR and other topics as demand develops.
Current certification as an OPOTC Peace Officer Basic Training Unit Instructor or Special Subjects Instructor certified to teach at least one of the following topics:
Below 100, Blue Courage, The Missing & Human Trafficking, Responding to Victims' Needs & Rights, Driving, Subject Control Techniques, Impact Weapons, First Aid/CPR/AED, Critical Injury First Aid, Stops & Approaches, Gang Awareness, Motor Vehicle Offenses, Traffic Crash Investigation, Critical Incident Stress Awareness, HazMat & WMD Awareness for the First Responder.
Practical and Instructional experience.
