This position is responsible for the safety and security ofUniversity resources while acting as Shift Supervisor. Responsibilitiesinclude:
1. Leadership and supervision ofassigned personnel: ensures compliance with TN criminal statutes and Universityand department policies for law enforcement. Recommends University closures forinclement weather, natural disasters, terrorist threats or attacks. Responsiblefor safety and security of University and ensuring sufficient manpowercoverage. Controls pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
2. Administrative duties: writingincident reports and reviewing those of subordinates. Performing data entryinto a records management systems. Maintaining daily log of work schedules andtimesheets. Ensuring that training reports are completed and conductingevaluations on subordinates.
3. Mentoring students by exampleand offering guidance: providing community services through roadside services,educating students and staff groups. Performing money transports and escortservices. Identifying safety hazards and making recommendations forimprovements.
