The Police Officer II, under general supervision, prevents and investigates violations of the law, University rules and regulations under the direction of a Sergeant and/or Lieutenant.
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED. Forty-five (45) college credit hours from an institution of higher education or equivalent. Each year of continuous experience as a commissioned law enforcement officer in the state of Texas and/or each year of active duty in a branch of the U.S. Armed Forces may be substituted for ten (10) college credit hours. A maximum of thirty (30) college credit hours may be substituted, with a minimum of fifteen (15) college credit hours from an institution of higher education is required. One (1) year as a licensed Police Officer.
Required Licenses, Certifications or Registrations:
Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) basic certification. State of TX class "C" drivers license.
